A mini PC is a full Windows computer about the size of a paperback that can hide behind a monitor. ACEMAGIC sells several lines on Amazon, and the model names don't tell you much, so this guide sorts them by who they're for.
Quick picker: who it's for
- Student, homework or basic work-from-home: the V1, our budget pick.
- Everyday home office, or a safe gift for parents: the K1.
- Someone curious about on-device AI features: the K5.
- Light gaming plus everyday work: the M1.
- Creators, coders and heavier multitasking: the M5.
- Power users who want the most headroom: the ACEMAGIC AI Mini PC.
- Home media server (Plex, Jellyfin, Kodi or Emby): the K1 or M1, with the V1 as a budget option.
ACEMAGIC V1: the budget study and WFH pick
The ACEMAGIC V1 (Ryzen 5 3500U, 8GB/256GB) is the entry point. ACEMAGIC lists a 4-core/8-thread Ryzen 5 3500U, Radeon Vega 8 graphics and support for two 4K@60Hz displays over HDMI and DisplayPort.
Honest downsides: 8GB of RAM is a bare minimum for Windows 11. The listing says it upgrades to 16GB. The 3500U is an older chip, and 256GB fills up fast.
ACEMAGIC K1: the everyday home office gift
The K1 comes in two configurations we're featuring:
- K1 with Ryzen 3 5425U, 16GB/512GB: 4 cores/8 threads up to 4.1GHz, a second M.2 slot, according to the listing.
- K1 with Ryzen 5 7430U, 16GB/1TB: 6 cores/12 threads up to 4.5GHz and two M.2 slots, according to the listing.
ACEMAGIC says both drive three 4K@60Hz displays through HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C, with Linux support.
Honest downsides: ACEMAGIC itself says the 7430U model isn't meant for AAA gaming or heavy 3D work. The 5425U version lists Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2, which are older wireless standards.
ACEMAGIC K5: on-device AI for everyday work
Its Intel chips include an NPU for supported AI features.
- K5 with Intel Core 5 320, 16GB/512GB: 6 cores up to 4.6GHz with 16GB of LPDDR5, according to the listing.
- K5 with Intel Core 3 304, 12GB/256GB: 5 cores up to 4.3GHz, which ACEMAGIC says delivers up to 24 TOPS of AI acceleration.
ACEMAGIC lists triple 4K@60Hz output, Wi-Fi 6 and 2.5GbE on both.
Honest downsides: "TOPS" only matters for apps that actually use the NPU. The listing says the memory is soldered LPDDR5, so what you buy is what you keep. The Core 3 model's 256GB SSD is small.
ACEMAGIC M1: light gaming on a small desk
The ACEMAGIC M1 (Ryzen 7 7736U, 24GB/512GB) is the pick for casual gaming. ACEMAGIC lists an 8-core/16-thread Ryzen 7 7736U and Radeon 680M graphics, plus 24GB of LPDDR5, two M.2 slots for up to 8TB and triple 4K output.
Good for: indie and older titles, emulation, and lighter esports-style games at modest settings.
Honest downsides: integrated graphics are not a gaming graphics card, so new AAA games will need low settings or won't be a good fit. The 24GB is onboard, so it can't be upgraded. Expect fans to work harder under gaming loads.
ACEMAGIC M5: for creators and heavier multitasking
The M5 moves to Intel's H and HX laptop-class processors:
- M5 with Intel Core i7-13620H, 24GB/1TB: 10 cores/16 threads up to 4.9GHz, according to the listing.
- M5 with Intel Core i7-14650HX, 16GB/1TB: ACEMAGIC calls it an "HX-class" 16-core/24-thread chip up to 5.2GHz at 55W, with DDR4 that it says can be upgraded to 64GB.
Both list triple 4K output.
Honest downsides: these are CPU-first machines. The i7-13620H listing names Intel UHD integrated graphics, so it isn't a better gamer than the M1. Expect audible fans under sustained load. The i7-14650HX listing also mixes up some details (see "How we chose"), so check the configuration before you order.
ACEMAGIC AI Mini PC: the power-user pick
The ACEMAGIC AI Mini PC (Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, 32GB/1TB) is the top of the range. ACEMAGIC lists a 12-core Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 up to 5.2GHz, Radeon 890M graphics and 32GB of LPDDR5X. It claims 86 TOPS of combined AI performance, 55 of that from the NPU, and says it can run 7B–14B local language models. It also lists Wi-Fi 7 and a USB4 port that ACEMAGIC says supports an external GPU.
Good for: local AI experiments, dev desks and creators.
Honest downsides: this is the big-ticket model in this guide. The memory is LPDDR5X with a listed maximum of 32GB, so there's no RAM upgrade later. The listing is new and has very little review history so far.
For an always-on media server (Plex, Jellyfin, Kodi or Emby)
A mini PC is a popular choice for a small home media box that runs Plex, Jellyfin, Kodi or Emby. This is general guidance based on listing specs, not a test of streaming or transcoding performance. For a box that stays on, look for low-power chips, room for storage and wired networking:
- K1: ACEMAGIC lists low-power U-series Ryzen chips, two M.2 slots for up to 4TB, and triple 4K output if it doubles as a TV-connected Kodi player.
- M1: two M.2 slots for up to 8TB and 2.5GbE, which suit a growing library.
- K5: the Core 3 304 model lists a 22W TDP and 2.5GbE, though its 256GB SSD means adding storage.
- V1: a budget option with dual 4K output and an M.2 slot up to 2TB, but just 8GB of RAM.
Check each app's own hardware guidance before you choose.

How we chose
This post is sponsored. We didn't test these units ourselves. Specs come from ACEMAGIC's listings, and listings change, so check the exact configuration on the product page before you buy.
One example: the i7-14650HX M5 listing says 16GB in its title, but one bullet says it "ships with 32GB." Confirm the configuration on the page.
